Waller St Halloween Festival

To safely close the streets, the city requires us to have 2 people posted at each intersection at all times. By volunteering, you ensure we'll be able to close the streets and that everyone will be able to have as much fun as they did last year. We're looking for a total of 44 volunteers this year to cover 4 shifts with 2 people at each intersection and some people to help run games.

What to expect:

1. You'll be assigned to a specific intersection to stand at and a 1-hour time slot (ex: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
2. You'll be partnered with another volunteer to watch the intersection, so you won't be on your own
3. You'll get a cool vest and hand-held traffic sign to hold, making you look all official!
4. If a car needs to come in or out, you'll need to guide them through the closed street
5. At some intersections, you may have to (strongly) encourage bikes to take the detour through Haight and Steiner

2. You'll get to know one of your neighbors a little better!
